The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering expert services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency reported it's alarmed with regards to the large variety of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no sassa status check thoroughly functional office devoted to service the area every day. The services level developed for intervention encounters a large influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it complicated for that office to attend to all people who go to a service point.
“In sassa status this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more means to permit the servicing of all consumers and boost access to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
